1980 cheers for Apoorva (and all else involved) for this wonderfully produced Yearbook!! A sincere expression of gratitude is in order for having so elegantly captured and preserved so many memories in a form we all will cherish forever.

Well done, Urjit, Uday and team ...

I am delighted to see that the project is getting off the ground, and it will also establish a new paradigm which other alumni can use for future projects.

My suggestion to all our batchmates is to let Urjit and Uday plus the PM (er, sorry ... OSD) drive this project since they are the closest to the ground situation. While I am sure each one of us has some ideas and suggestions, the best thing to do now is to let the experts on the ground make the decisions.

Good luck, team!

Hi,

Good to see that the comments site is up. Maybe a link back to the Legacy Project main page would be good - so interested can clcik and return to http://www.iitbombay.org/legacy2005/

Also, I like the fact that there is total transparency - and updates will be posted regularly on the Legacy Project website.

Hiring the Project Manager would allow the Project to move ahead - and seek input and plans from all interested. Interested individuals should come forward and work with the Project Manager and IIT to restore Powai Lake back to what it was (or a better state) in its glory days. We are all looking forward to an environmentally sound developmental project being undertaken.

Bor - this is a great way to communicate and share views with the entire Class of 1980. I think we all are in agreement about the need for the Legacy Project to be eco-friendly, but we need to defer to the experts in this area to ensure that this is reflected in the project plans.

Hi Nitin,

Thanks for lending your expertise to bring us up to date with the technology used in managing our legacy project.

I like the idea that now everyone has a chance to express their views without getting lost in someone's mail box.

Let's hope people are as forthcoming in volunteering their time as they are with their ideas.
